Last week, the nursery classes Butterflies and Squirrels had a visit from two local police officers!
As part of our curriculum, the children learn about different roles, jobs, and occupations. They show interest in other people’s lives and curiosity about other people in their community sharing experiences.
We have discussed how police keep us safe. If you are lost or have an emergency, the police will be there to help you. This ignited a lot of curiosity and interest, and we talked to the children about their experiences.
We love inspiring the children, showing them all of the possibilities that life can hold, and instilling in them a belief that they can do what they choose with their lives!
We would love it if any of our parents would like to come and share their role with us! Please talk to your key worker if you have time to come on and talk to the children about what you do! They find it exciting to learn about other people’s lives and roles.
