Parents and carers may have seen reports of a city-wide internet outage affecting a number of Bristol schools connected to Bristol City Council’s Trading with Schools network.
Bristol City Council has temporarily suspended access to the network while a potential security incident is investigated. This has affected a number of primary, secondary and SEND schools across the city.
Hartcliffe Nursery School remains open and children can continue attending as usual. The safety and wellbeing of children and staff have not been affected.
There may be some disruption to digital systems while the issue is resolved. Bristol City Council has advised that the disruption could continue into early next week, and updates will be shared with families if needed.
