South Bristol Family Hubs are offering a range of evidence-based parenting programmes starting in January 2026, designed to support parents and carers of young children.

The programmes include the Nurturing Programme at Hartcliffe Children’s Centre, Circle of Security at Bedminster Children’s Centre, and Parenting Puzzle delivered online via Zoom. These courses provide parents and carers with practical strategies to support their children’s positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, whilst also building confidence in their parenting approach.

Parents who have previously attended these groups have shared powerful feedback about their experiences. Participants describe feeling more educated, confident and equipped to face parenting challenges, with many noting significant improvements in their relationships with their children and themselves. One parent who attended the Nurturing Programme said the experience made them “a better mother and a better person,” whilst another appreciated gaining “more love and compassion for myself and my child.”

The groups provide a supportive environment where parents can learn alongside others, share experiences and develop new skills. Registration is now open and families can sign up through the Bristol Parenting Groups website at www.bit.ly/BristolParentingGroups. Full details of all programmes, including dates and times, can be found on the attached flyer or by contacting the Parenting Support Team at PSSO@bristol.gov.uk.
