Ramadan Mubarak to all our families celebrating this special month! As the holy month of Ramadan begins, we extend our warmest wishes to our Muslim community members.
This week, we’ll also make pancakes at Hartcliffe Nursery School as part of our seasonal activities. This allows us to explore the interesting connections between different traditions in our diverse community.
Both Ramadan and Lent (which traditionally begins with Pancake Day) occur at similar times of year and share common themes of reflection, prayer, and fasting. These special periods provide an opportunity for people to focus on spiritual growth and mindfulness.
We look forward to celebrating these traditions together as a school community, helping our children learn about different cultures and the values we share.
