Eid al-Adha Mubarak to everyone in our community who is celebrating this special time.
One of the things we cherish most about Hartcliffe Nursery School is our wonderfully diverse community, and throughout the year, we love celebrating a wide range of occasions, festivals, and traditions alongside our families. Eid al-Adha is a beautiful example of that.
Eid al-Adha is the second of the two Eid celebrations in the Islamic calendar and is generally considered the holier of the two festivals. It takes place during Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, and usually lasts between three and four days. It is a time for prayer, reflection, generosity and togetherness, bringing families and communities closer as they give thanks and honour their faith.
We are grateful for the chance to mark these important occasions together and to learn from one another, and we hope this special time brings joy, peace and happy memories to all who are celebrating.
